About the program

  • The Governance & Compliance program/portal will assist Approved Providers and NSW Education and Care Services in understanding their governance and compliance responsibilities.

  • The program has been funded through the NSW Department of Education’s Sector Development Program and is free for all participants.

  • Community Early Learning Australia (CELA) has been appointed by the NSW Department of Education to deliver this Governance and Compliance program, including a range of professional learning and resources, to support those responsible for governance and compliance in NSW Education and Care Services.

Who should participate?

Effective governance and leadership within the sector underpins the success of individual services and collective impact on successful outcomes for children, families, and services. 

The Governance & Compliance Portal is a professional development initiative relevant to all Approved Providers, boards and community-based committee members, Directors, and PMC's at all NSW Education and Care Services, such as Preschool, Long Day Care, OOSH, Family Day Care, Occasional Care, Mobile and Multifunctional Aboriginal Children’s Services.
